• Carnaval Academy Folklore & Art, a Utah Nonprofit Corporation and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN 41-5120978).

• We teach Colombian folklore to children, youth, and families, with a focus on cultural identity and well-being.

You may use the site to learn about us, contact us, enroll a student, and donate. You may not use it for unlawful purposes, submit false information, interfere with its operation, or copy its content by automated means.

The site is provided "as is". We do our best to keep information current, but schedules, prices, and dates may change; what we agree with you in writing prevails over what is published. Links to third-party sites (Zeffy, QuickBooks, social media) are governed by those sites' terms.

The Carnaval Academy name, logo, texts, photos, and videos on the site belong to Carnaval Academy Folklore & Art or are used with the permission of the people who appear in them. They may not be reproduced without written authorization, other than sharing links to the site. Photos of students are published only with their parents' or guardians' authorization.

• Enrollment is completed by the student's parent or legal guardian, who declares that the information provided is truthful and agrees to keep it up to date, especially health, emergency, and authorized pick-up details.
• Reserving a spot through the form does not guarantee a place: we confirm it when we contact you, subject to availability (groups of up to 10 students).
• Classes are held on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Taylorsville, Utah. We may adjust schedules, venue, or instructors with advance notice.
• To withdraw a student, notify us in writing (email or message) before the next month begins.

• Tuition is $50 per student, payable in advance at the start of each month. The official performance costume is optional and costs $120.
• Online payments are processed through Intuit (QuickBooks Payments) and are subject to its terms. We also accept cash and other methods agreed with the treasurer.
• We offer sliding-scale scholarships based on each family's situation. They are agreed in writing and may be reviewed each term.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes do not affect months already paid.
• Refund conditions are in the Refund Policy.

Donations are voluntary and support Carnaval Academy's mission (scholarships, costumes, programs, and operations) unless we agree in writing on a specific purpose. Carnaval Academy is a 501(c)(3) organization: your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and no goods or services are provided in return. Zeffy issues the receipt. Donations are non-refundable except in case of error (see the Refund Policy).

Dance is a physical activity. Like any exercise, it involves inherent risks such as falls, twists, bumps, or sprains, even when reasonable precautions are taken. By enrolling a student, the parent or guardian declares that they understand those inherent risks, that the student is fit to participate, and that they have informed us of any relevant allergy, medical condition, or limitation.

In an emergency we will call 911 and the emergency contact provided, and the parent or guardian authorizes medical personnel to treat the student. Medical costs are the responsibility of the family and their insurance; we recommend having health insurance.

Our instructors look after the safety of every class and follow the health information you give us. To the extent permitted by Utah law, Carnaval Academy is not liable for harm arising from the inherent risks of the activity. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants to minors.

We only take and publish photos or videos of a student if their parent or guardian authorized it at enrollment. You may withdraw that authorization at any time by writing to us; we will remove the images from our channels within a reasonable time, although we cannot recover copies that third parties have already downloaded. At public performances and festivals, other people and organizers may take images outside our control.

• We expect respect among students, families, and instructors. Carnaval Academy may suspend the participation of a student or family for conduct that endangers the safety or environment of the group; in that case the refund policy applies.
• Minor students are released only to the people authorized at enrollment; we may ask for identification. Parents must pick up the student promptly when class ends.
• Personal belongings are each family's responsibility.

We do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption or free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the site or the inability to use it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah and the federal laws of the United States. In case of a disagreement, we will first try to resolve it directly with you in good faith. If no agreement is reached, the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, will have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms; the current version is the one published on this page with its date. If a change affects enrolled families, we will notify them by email.
